To be alive is to grow. To grow is to experience transition and change. None of us does this alone. We are influenced by culture, and witnessed by community. The quality of this witnessing changes based on the consciousness of those around us. Many of us are raising children, or working with children, in a culture that supports and promotes varying forms of isolation and disconnect. Their unique gifts and challenges are often overlooked in the efforting of learning outcomes or lost in the fast pace of our daily lives. Our children to turn toward a peer oriented culture. Often fed by commercialized conformity and distracted by social media the true nourishment of connection found in real friends is harder and harder
​to come by. 
The nuclear family is a myth. It is a symptom of our disconnected culture and not the way we were meant to live. Remember, it takes a village to raise a child.
You aren't made to do this alone, and neither are they.
It is time to be intentional about our communities. 
It is time to reconnect to ourselves, to others, and to the natural world.
